The Leitz family history in winemaking can be traced all the way back to 1744, but since 1985, the 140 hectare estate in the Rheingau region of Germany has been managed by descendant winemaker Johannes Leitz. Over the years, Johannes has gained national and international recognition for his outstanding wines, but he has also stayed true to his roots and homeland. He has been working closely with the Ministry of Environment to restore the traditional terraces above Rüdesheim in the Berg Rottland and Berg Kaisersteinfels vineyards.
Leitz has now joined the ranks of other reknowned winemakers making traditional wines and dealcoholizing them. The Eins Zwei Zero brand is one of the most expansive lines of non-alcoholic wines on the market coming from a single winemaker.
